A graphical user interface (GUI, pronounced "gooey") is a visual environment that simplifies a user's interaction with an interface by representing various items, and other options as visual elements, such as icons, pull-down menus, buttons, scroll bars, windows, and dialog boxes. By selecting one of these elements, the user can initiate different activities, such as moving a page or or starting a program. The most familiar GUI interfaces are Apple Computer's Macintosh and Microsoft Corporation's Windows operating systems and many pages on the World Wide Web, DVDs, Information stands/kiosks, Foxtel Digital, Games, Programs, Applications and so forth.. Here are a few examples of GUI’s that I have developed.
